On 19 November 2013, the University of Southampton’s Centre for Strategic Innovation and the Digital Economy University Strategic Research Group hosted ‘Creative DigiFest’ at De Vere Grand Harbour, Southampton. Among the world-leading speakers, demonstrations of the latest technologies, debate and discussion with digital experts and free workshops and networking sessions, there was a Dragons Den-style Business Planning Competition.

Following the event, the winner of the Business Planning Competition competition Benjamin Mawson held a Masterclass on ‘Annotating the Landscape With Sound using the NoTours software’. He demonstrated the NoTours Augmented Aurality software and attendees enjoyed walking around Avenue campus testing their own soundscapes on the Common.
